Hong Kong Disneyland has opened a Popcorn Pop-Up Shop at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A., selling Pixar collectibles themed to popcorn. The shop opened in July as part of Pixar Summer Fest, the park’s summer program, and the park has not posted a closing date. Pixar Summer Fest runs through August 31.

The merchandise line is called Pixar Popcorn Pals: plush characters wearing popcorn hoods, including Sulley, the Toy Story Alien, Lotso, and Remy, plus plush keychains, mystery boxes, popcorn-shaped headbands, and shopping bags. The park’s marketing tells guests to follow the popcorn scent to the Emporium.

The shop runs a popcorn-styled claw machine. Guests grab a plush “popcorn” with the claw, and a cast member brings it out and opens it to reveal which Popcorn Pals character is inside. The prizes sit in view on the machine. US parks sell similar mystery-box plush in sealed packaging, and buyers open the box themselves to find out which character is inside.

The pop-up joins a wider Pixar Summer Fest merchandise line, including Toy Story ear headbands, plush keychains, and cowboy-fringe bags. The shop is one piece of the park’s summer program: Pixar Pals Spectacular, the event’s nighttime show, opened earlier this summer.
