Corrections Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
Seasonal Entertainment Source (SES) is committed to accuracy. When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly, transparently, and in a way that allows readers to see what was changed and when.
This page explains how we handle corrections, how readers can report errors, and the difference between a correction and a clarification.
How to Report an Error
If you believe an SES article contains a factual error, please send the following information to [email protected]:
- The full URL of the article
- The specific statement you believe is incorrect
- The correct information, with a source if available
- Your name and contact information so we can follow up
We review every correction request. If you do not receive a response within five business days, please follow up at the same address.
What Qualifies as a Correction
A correction is issued when an article contains a factual error. Examples include:
- Incorrect names, titles, or company affiliations
- Incorrect dates, numbers, locations, or measurements
- Misattributed quotes or statements
- Factual claims that are not supported by the underlying sources
- Errors in reporting on financial figures, attendance numbers, or other data
What Qualifies as a Clarification
A clarification is issued when the original wording, while not factually incorrect, may have been ambiguous or could reasonably have been misunderstood. Clarifications expand or refine the original article without contradicting it.
We label clarifications differently from corrections so readers can distinguish between the two.
How Corrections Are Displayed
When SES corrects an article, the following appears at the top of the article in a clearly marked editor’s note:
> **Correction (Date):** A previous version of this article [stated incorrect fact]. The article has been updated to [reflect correct fact].
The correction remains visible at the top of the article permanently. We do not silently edit articles to fix errors after publication.
For clarifications, the format is:
> **Clarification (Date):** This article has been updated to clarify [specific point].
Significant Corrections
When a correction substantially changes the meaning, conclusions, or reporting of an article, we additionally:
- Note the correction in our weekly newsletter
- Update any social media posts that referenced the incorrect information, where possible
Disclosure Within Articles
In addition to corrections, SES adds editorial disclosures to articles when material relationships affect the coverage. Specifically, when an article’s primary subject is Gantom Lighting Controls, a Gantom product, or a paying Gantom client whose work is the focus of the piece, we add a one-line italic disclosure at the top of the article. This policy took effect April 27, 2026, and applies to articles published on or after that date.
The full ownership and funding context for these disclosures is documented on our Ownership & Funding page.
Removal Requests
SES does not remove published articles in response to requests from subjects who are unhappy with accurate coverage. We will correct factual errors. We will not delete articles, retroactively change quotes, or suppress accurate reporting because a subject prefers it not be public.
In rare cases involving legal issues, safety concerns, or sensitive personal information published in error, we will consider removal on a case-by-case basis. Such requests should be sent to [email protected] with a clear explanation of the issue.
Editorial Accountability
All editorial decisions at SES, including corrections, clarifications, and removal decisions, are made by Philip Hernandez, owner and editor of Seasonal Entertainment Source.
