Tokyo Disney Resort (Urayasu, Japan) will raise its maximum one-day admission to ¥12,400 (about $76 at current exchange rates) beginning in October 2026, the first increase to its top ticket price since October 2023. The higher ceiling applies only to the highest-demand days on the resort’s variable pricing calendar. Across October, most dates hold at ¥10,900, and the cheapest fall to ¥9,900.
The October Price Calendar
The resort’s official October 2026 admission calendar shows the tiers for an adult 1-Day Passport at Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea:
- October 1 and 2: ¥9,900
- October 10 and 18: ¥11,900
- October 11 and 17: ¥12,400, the new maximum
- Most other October dates: ¥10,900
The new maximum first applies on Sunday, October 11, within Japan’s three-day Sports Day holiday weekend, and again the following Saturday, October 17. Both dates fall during the parks’ Halloween season. Child admission also rises on peak dates, reaching ¥5,900 from ¥5,600, according to SoraNews24.
Operating Model and Rationale
Tokyo Disney Resort is operated by Oriental Land Co., which has run the resort under license from The Walt Disney Company since Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983. Oriental Land funds construction and operations and retains park profits, while Disney provides the IP and creative oversight. The company attributed the revision to rising operating and labor costs, and said the value of the guest experience has increased with additions such as Fantasy Springs, the Tokyo DisneySea expansion that opened in June 2024.
The move continues a longer climb. When variable pricing began replacing the flat one-day rate, adult admission stood at ¥7,500 as recently as 2019. Measured at the top of the calendar, the new ¥12,400 maximum is a roughly 65% increase over those seven years. At ¥10,900, the most common price on the October calendar, the increase since 2019 is closer to 45%. Against the ¥10,900 ceiling in place since October 2023, the new maximum is up 13.8%.
How the New Maximum Compares to U.S. Parks
Tokyo’s variable calendar works like the date-based pricing used at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World in the U.S., where the posted price changes with expected demand. Even at the new maximum, Tokyo’s one-day admission of about $76, a figure held down by the historically weak yen, sits well below Walt Disney World’s 2026 one-day range, which runs $119 to $209 depending on park and date.
Free Priority Pass Ends August 31
The price revision lands weeks before the resort ends its free 40th Anniversary Priority Pass on August 31, 2026. The app-based pass, introduced for the resort’s 40th anniversary, lets guests reserve free timed entry to select attractions and has served as the parks’ last no-cost successor to FastPass. After August 31, paid Disney Premier Access remains the resort’s only line-skipping option, per the official Priority Pass page.
Event dates and ticketing
The revised prices take effect with the October 2026 admission calendar at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
